Shutters installed

The last five days have been full of progress. We were told that work seemed to come in fits and spurts and the last week has been full of great news. Yesterday all of the plantation shutters were installed. We did not expect them for three more weeks. The wood is the same as the doors, baseboard and some of the cabinets. Whoever coordinated the look is brilliant but I can assure you is was not me. The window trim will be installed today and it really ties together the whole look.

The shutters cover all of the south facing windows, or the entire front of the house. The remaining windows in the great room part of the house, actually most of the windows, do not have any window coverings. We have so much privacy simply due to distance that we may not install and coverings. Once mid summer passes we will decide what to do in the back of the house due to the sun angles.

Another good use of the shutters is to keep the Richard's away...teasing! He is the one who told me about the Eddie Izzard show so he deserves a kudos.

Back to the house...looks wonderful. You guys have wanted those shutters for forever...now you get them! The swinging doors remind me of the door into Grandma & Grandpa's old kitched in Arcadia.

Usually I'd tease you back, Dani, but we have Izzard tickets, so I'm still as 'Happy as Larry'. Assuming Larry also has Izzard tickets, and I guess assuming that Larry is generally a happy person. The only Larry I know is quite a happy chappy, but I digress.

The shutters look great, but I am concerned that the north, east and west windows of the house may develop a touch of shutter-envy.
